Kitties Kitties and more Kitties

Such a sweet kitten. We names he Lavern

You know its spring when the kittens show up at the milk pan. Having some cats on the farm help keep the rat and mouse population down. We give them treats of milk and check them for injuries, everyday. However they do very well on their own. They will show up on ocasion when they need something. If they have a cut or something they will usually put themselves in the barn isle and meow to get our attention.

Im alergic to cats, but love to watch them play. They are so nimble, and athletic. Watching them stalk one another, or even hunt is so intriguing. They just know what to do, and are so quiet. I have watched birds intimidate them by swooping down, but every once in a while the pick the wrong one, and the kittens get a treat.

Every so often a random cat will show up. My husband thinks they get dropped and abandoned off at the end of the lane. Some, I think go out hunting and get themsleves lost. They usually find their way home. This week however noticed a random cat in one of our sheds. This one was different. Hungry but afarid to come out. I have asked around an let neighbors know, but no one knows her. So now we have a new cat.

So my alergies are loving me, but oh well. We have made friends, now I guess a trip to the vet. Maybe she has a microchip, and I’ll find her home.

Work hard, stay humble and be kind, and enjoy the journey. Sometime the simple things mean the most.
